HL.III.1–III.5 (assembly, inspections, compass cal) · HL.V.1–V.3 (initialization, pre-takeoff checks, manual takeoff & hover) · HL.V.7–V.8 (landing, shutdown) · HL.VIII.1 (callouts).

Completion standard

Assembly and all inspections performed correctly under supervision; stable hover and landing achieved; all callouts used. Instructor grades each task on the F-1 grade sheet — the same rows, in the same order, as PQS-HL-01.

Instructor notes

First-flight syndrome is real on an aircraft this size: expect over-controlling in hover. Set the student up crosswind-free for the first sortie if conditions allow. Do not advance to F-2 with any U on inspection tasks — inspection habits set on day one are the ones that persist.
